Job Description

This position is responsible for the development, management and guidance of all sales activities for the assigned geographic territory. Executes policies, procedures and programs to achieve the maximum sales potential for the provision of products and services to any applicable healthcare provider. Responsible for achieving sales objectives and must coordinate budgets, forecast and reports.  Maintains relationship with current members and coordinates specific activities for building relationships with prospective members.



Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Promotes HealthTrust business model to officers of large healthcare providers.
  • Meet with all hospital stakeholders to outline our value proposition.
  • Shepard the "due diligence" process - completing an evaluation of savings and conversions required.
  • Support the implementation of our service and identify opportunities for consulting and custom contracting.
  • Complete a market assessment (competitive offerings and share) and develop market business plan
  • Maintain electronic database on all account activity.(SFA)
  • Generate prospective sales list and develop goals and strategies for selling.
  • Complete RFI's & RFP's for prospective members, to insure appropriateness of response.
  • Schedule and plan for sales exhibits and trade shows, attending those pertinent to business.
  • Attend all pertinent internal training sessions and remain current on industry news
  • Support the development of new product offerings and related collateral.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

 

Experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in national account sales, minimum of 3-5 years senior-level sales (i.e. calling on the C-suite of large IDNs)
  • Prior GPO experience preferred
  • Supply Chain operations experience highly desired
  • Demonstrated track record of market share growth
  • Background in healthcare consulting (i.e. supply cost management, clinical standardization, utilization) strongly preferred
