Located in the heart of Atlanta, hospital is a community-based, acute care teaching facility with more than 1,000 physicians spanning 28 specialties. Since 1908, the hospital has served Atlanta residents and patients from all over the Southeast. Today, the hospital is recognized nationally for its work in cardiology and heart-related diseases, as well as reconstructive surgery, maternal and infant care, orthopedics and gastrointestinal diseases. Hospital Has 529 beds, including 86 ICU beds, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and four hyperbaric oxygen units.

Position Summary: 

Our client/hospital is looking for a compassionate and quick thinking registered nurse to join their "Medical Oncology" Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification, registration, and/or assessed competencies. Practice will be in accordance with laws and regulations and will adhere to established policies, procedures and practice guidelines. Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. Is able to apply the Synergy Model for care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family. Serves as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate for patients/families.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years. 
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
