Job Description

Entrust Your Career to HealthTrust

At HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, we focus on a healthcare facility’s most valuable resource for delivering exceptional patient experiences – its people. Fantastic Remote opportunity for a Clinical Documentation Specialist - Supporting multiple hospitals located throughout the United States.

The Clinical Documentation Specialist conducts concurrent review of clinical documentation within the medical record to achieve accurate and detailed documentation.  Appropriate provider documentation for clinically indicated conditions or procedures supports appropriate assignment of severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, intensity of service and resource consumption, which in turn accurately portrays the facility’s quality outcomes ratings, reduces compliance risks, and captures appropriate reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Rights/Organizational Ethics
  • Assessment of Documentation in Health Records
  • Physician Queries
  • Customer Service and Collaboration
  • Performance Improvement
  • Self-Development

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license required with Critical Care, OR, ER experience preferred; or RHIA/RHIT/CCS certification required; or MBBS required
  • Degree in Health Information Management, Medicine or Nursing required.  BS degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience

Full benefits included! This is a REMOTE POSITION.

Together with our healthcare facility partners, we ensure that healthcare professionals have the skills, tools and support needed to fulfill their mission of delivering exceptional patient experiences. This means taking a holistic, long-term view of your career options and taking as good a care of our people as our hospital partners take of their patients. When healthcare professionals are empowered with the right skills, tools and employment opportunity to fulfill their mission – something incredible happens. Patient satisfaction soars, employee collaboration takes hold and healthcare organizations deliver high quality, sustainable access to care.
