Located in the heart of Atlanta, hospital is a community-based, acute care teaching facility with more than 1,000 physicians spanning 28 specialties. Since 1908, the hospital has served Atlanta residents and patients from all over the Southeast. Today, the hospital is recognized nationally for its work in cardiology and heart-related diseases, as well as reconstructive surgery, maternal and infant care, orthopedics and gastrointestinal diseases. In addition to providing leading-edge medical care, hospital is becoming a local leader in sustainability by improving the energy efficiency of its facilities.

Hospital Has 529 beds, including 86 ICU beds, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and four hyperbaric oxygen units.

Position Summary: 

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.  

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
  • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
  • Must have 2 years Exp.
