Fantastic opportunity for an Echo Technologist at a beautiful facility located near Petersburg, VA.

This acute care facility is a 300 bed facility located in a 50 acre campus with 380 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. They serve the communities of Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights, Fort Lee and Chester and the counties of Prince George, Dinwiddie, Sussex, Surry and Southern Chesterfield.

Position Summary:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.


Graduate of state accredited school of radiology technology with current or pending registration in the State of Virginia or graduate of state approved school of professional nursing with RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact Licensure Agreement preferred
2 years of recent cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound testing exp preferred in acute care hospital setting.
Without RN or RT license, 5 years training and experience on the job with a registry/certification in the related field.
An appropriate credential in vascular ultrasound or echocardiography (ARRT, ARDMS or CCI). Additional certifications needed to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Current American Heart Association BLS required.
