Position Summary:

The Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible for all aspects of care related to adult inpatients or outpatients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments/interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychological needs, unique to the patient. Call is mandatory and response time must be under 30 minutes. Assist and scrubs for cardiac, vascular, related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of the procedural physician. Actively participates in the ordering and inventory of equipment and supplies for the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Qualifications: 
  • RN's must have a minimum of one year of experience in acute care.
  • RT's must have a minimum of five years of hospital Experience. 

License/Certification:

  • State Licensed Registered Nurse, or
  • ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technoligist) or
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or
  • RCIS
  • American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification preferred.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.
