Fantastic Staff position at a fantastic facility located near San Angelo, Texas.

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse Prefer Bachelors degree in Nursing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.



The job description and criteria based job performance evaluation emphasizes the criteria expected in the performance of the Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient care, through the initiation and continuation of the nursing process; a plan of care is developed based upon assessed identified needs. The Registered Nurse works closely with the medical staff, as well as other professional staff, ancillary department members, visitors and families.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Qualifications

•         One or more years experience in desired specialty

•         National certifications in your specialty preferred

License/Certifications

•         License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas

•         BLS required (current at time of hire)/maintained throughout term of employment

•         ACLS required within 6 months of hire/must have current ACLS to be a Charge Nurse /maintained throughout term of employment

•         PALS preferred

•         TNCC –preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and Unencumbered State Nursing License
  • Atleast 1 Year Of Previous Experience
  • Current BLS Certification Required
  • Current ACLS Certification Required
