Job Description

Process:

QA reviews completed files that credentialing specialists update for quality assurance of the file that is reviewed by the facility. QA documents if any files are completed that do not meet requirements and notify the credentialing specialists and Lead what needs to be updated.

Tasks:

•         Complete entire audit form when reviewing candidate’s file

•         Review 10% of files that credentialists complete per month

•         Reviews 100% of all new credentialing specialist files for the first 90 days

•         Updates QA Audit tool for Leads for monthly reviews of credentialing specialists files

•         Send notifications to Lead and Credentialists if file does not pass audit

•         QA will not be doing anything that is not specified on the audit guidelines, any new   requirements will be added to the QA guidelines and the credentialist will be given a 2 week deadline to implement.

Audit Tool

Audit tool is used by QA to track the accuracy of files that are completed by credentialists. The tool requires the QA specialist to show what credentials meet, or did not meet HealthTrust requirements. The QA specialist is responsible for adding detailed notes to explain why any credential did not pass the audit.

Notifications

QA specialists should send notifications to the Lead and credentialing specialist informing them why a file did not pass the audit. This notification will include the credential or a snap shot showing the reason the file did not pass the audit.  If a credentialist does not agree with the audit, they will need to bring their file to the Lead to review and the Lead will discuss the file with QA.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES – This position requires the following minimal requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Organized, attention to details, ability to work in multiple databases, self-starter   

EDUCATION – High School

EXPERIENCE – Prior QA experience preferred, Prior Credentialing preferred
