JOB SUMMARY

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for supporting the implementation of small to medium size MSP operational programs and incremental projects to existing programs.  The Implementation Consultant is a professional who actively participates in the implementation by overseeing cross-workstream deliverables.  The position requires a basic understanding and appreciation for MSP operations and best practices. This position also requires a basic understanding of the MSP workflow and various technology offerings.

Implementation Consultant may have a responsibility in one or more assigned focus areas within the project which may include the following responsibilities:  analysis, design, build, testing, validation, and launch.  They are accountable for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the new or existing end-to-end solution model.  Jointly with team leads, team members, assigned mentor, and with facility representatives, they align a future-state workflow and oversee system builds or modification to support the new workflow.  They collaborate with other team members and work across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.  Other duties as assigned to support the MSP implementation team.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating project status within the implementation teams, with department representatives, and with higher levels; provide formal status reporting on a periodic basis to supervisory staff as requested.
  • Participating in application analysis, design, build, and validation sessions within assigned area (may include advanced design and workflow re-design).
  • Participating in other key project activities and meetings as assigned.
  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings as assigned; recording meeting minutes as assigned.
  • Designing and implementing future-state workflows by interacting with department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design.
  • Designing, building, and validating the application to conform to desired workflows.
  • Testing in a structured manner and documenting testing results.
  • Following established guidelines for system change control.
  • Tracking, updating, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborating with the Training Team in the design and development of role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented.
  • Supporting end-users onsite during go-live events.
  • Maintaining system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system.
  • Implementing approved changes based on customer-designated priorities.
  • Reviewing and testing new builds and releases prior to implementing in the production environment.
  • Identifying potential system enhancement needs.
  • Providing demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.  Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required.
  • Possesses good organizational and presentation skills. Demonstrated presentation/public speaking skills and experience required.
  • Definitive analytical ability. Problem-solving is a required core competency. 
  • A comfort, or even preference, for an environment of discovery and uncertainty. Able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and situations.
  • Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environment.  Able to build strong working relationships.
  • Understands the importance of customer focus in order to build a solid reputation and maintain a high level of quality and satisfaction.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Travel required up to 25%
