Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – Update Specialists work as a team to manage several processes that support Credentialing and other stakeholders within HealthTrust, facilities or local offices.  Update Specialists will utilize various systems to achieve these tasks.

SUPERVISOR – Manager, Operations



  • Reporting – manually from StaffPM
  • Expiring creds notifications and updates (Update Specialists will send notifications to the Candidates, HAMs and facilities with updates for expiring credentials.  Updated documents will be scanned into onbase and update in StaffPM)
  • Run reports and perform updates: PSV, SSV, Compact – monthly (Local)
  • Run reports and perform updates: PSV, SSV, Compact – weekly (Travel)
  • Non-Booked Assignments (Travel) – Research candidate compliance status and update missing documentation
  • Annual updates notification sent to candidates tracking and updating
  • Patient Experience tracking and updating
  • PICC reporting – (monthly) run report and notify candidates and PICC Director of expiring credentials
  • Onbasing documents
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES – This position requires the following minimal requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Organized, attention to detail, ability to work in multiple databases, self-starter

EDUCATION – High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required

EXPERIENCE – Prior Credentialing experience preferred
