The Credentialing Team Lead will oversee the consistent application of credentialing verification processes and serve as the liaison between HealthTrust Workforce Solutions operating departments and QA, as well as serve as the liaison between HealthTrust and all external customers.  This position will be responsible for continuously reviewing work flows and implementing process improvements.  Will ensure all HealthTrust Workforce Solutions /HR programs, policies and procedures are followed and administered in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policy. 

  • Leads a team of Credentialing Specialists to ensure that HealthTrust Workforce Management Solutions and vendor employees meet pre-placement requirements.
  • Review and implement credentialing requirements for new customers.
  • Serve as a resource to Credentialing Specialists and review and approve or deny questionable backgrounds
  • Review credentialing reports and monitor weekly starts
  • Respond to daily credentialing and travel questions, concerns, and issues
    • Monitor effectiveness of background company and escalate issues to background company when appropriate
    • Create and implement standardized processes and procedures
    • Handle escalated traveler issues
    • Oversee vendor credentialing process
    • Hold regular meetings (minimum weekly) with team members
    • Maintain various systems used for maintaining employee records (Lawson, Staff PM)
    • Ensure all Human Resources data requirements are met and in employee files.
    • Ensure the communication and implementation of new or updated HR policies and procedures and corporate directives.



Job Requirements


  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products
  • Ability to learn new software programs 
  • 3-5 years credentialing experience, related healthcare experience preferred, staffing healthcare experience preferred, and supervisory experience preferred


High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred
